Management should be attending at least the annual meeting. Once a year, a homeowner should get to meet the community manager. For one, you can get to know them and understand their methods of operation. The majority of your HOA dues go directly to landscaping and landscaping maintenance, including water. If your Board is contracting with landscapers, one important question to ask is, &#8220;What kind of water conservation plan do you follow?&#8221;. For example, a sprinkler is shooting into the street, but not broken. More than likely your landscaping company will not notice this issue. Whose job is it to notify them to fix it? Do you even know who they are? Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to just shoot an e-mail to your HOA management company?</p>
