Where Are Your HOA Dues Going?

Filed under: HOA — patti @ 10:37 am

Landscaping, landscaping, landscaping. I can’t say it any other way. The majority of your HOA dues go directly to landscaping and landscaping maintenance, including water. If your Board is contracting with landscapers, one important question to ask is, “What kind of water conservation plan do you follow?”. For example, a sprinkler is shooting into the street, but not broken. More than likely your landscaping company will not notice this issue. Whose job is it to notify them to fix it? Do you even know who they are? Wouldn’t it be nice to just shoot an e-mail to your HOA management company?

  1. In the future HOA’s will have to look at landscaping that requires less water and less maintenance, particularly when the cost keep rising. It’s also environmentally friendly.
